3. Registration & Ticketing
- Registration must be completed via our website or another platform we specify.
- Each ticket admits one person unless otherwise stated.
- Tickets are non-transferable unless we explicitly allow name changes, which must be requested in advance.
- Registration is confirmed only once payment has been processed successfully. Pre-payment confirmations are not valid until payment clears.
- Proof of purchase may be requested; please keep your digital receipt.
4. Payments & Security
Payments are processed securely using Stripe. We do not process or store card numbers, expiry dates, or CVV codes - these are handled by Stripe.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
- Tickets are non-refundable unless stated otherwise on the event page.
- Refunds may be issued at FVU’s discretion and must be requested by email.
- If FVU cancels an event, full refunds will be issued.
- If cancellation is due to external factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, venue issues), refunds will not normally be provided, though we may reschedule.
6. Youth & Child Safeguarding
Events for children/young people require parental or guardian consent. All attendees must follow staff/volunteer instructions for safety. FVU maintains safeguarding procedures in line with its policies.
7. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
- Attendees must act respectfully and responsibly.
- FVU may remove or refuse entry to anyone breaching these Terms or behaving inappropriately. No refunds will be given in such cases.
8. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Participation is at your own risk. FVU, its volunteers, and partners accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage, except in cases of proven negligence. For physical or outdoor events, participants confirm they are fit to take part and accept inherent risks.
9. Photography & Media
We may take photos or video for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear, please notify us in writing before the event. We will do our best to respect opt-out requests. Images are never sold or shared for commercial gain.
10. Data Protection
We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy
for details.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government restrictions).
12. Amendments
We may update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of registration applies, unless you are otherwise notified. Updates will be posted here.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Scots law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
